Software Engineering Internship Program (6 Months)
Penang, Malaysia

We are recruiting Interns who has their ambition to excel in Software Engineering! We are looking for an enthusiastic problem solver, with an interest in either software development field to join us to build our next generation system!

Please note that our internship program is strictly for candidates who possess Software Engineering / Computer Science knowledge only. We are here to grow potential candidates who want to use their skills learned from school in real-life environment, and also give the candidate a chance to help on different departments to have a better understanding of real-life software development jobs, also to grow the skill technically. If you do not know how to write code, please do not apply.

What do you do (job responsibilities)?
  • For the first 6 weeks, rotating between Software Development Team, Customer Delivery Team, and also the Support Team to understand how a software company works overall.
  • Be involved in the real project after a 6-week orientation by assigning to the team of interest.
  • Assisting senior engineers in their projects.
  • Maintain good documentation and maintenance practice.

Software Engineer

Neptrix is currently expanding and we are looking for multiple Software Engineer to make our team stronger and bigger!

Please note that we are looking for experienced programmer for DevOps only. If you do not know to code, please do not apply. We will ask technical question or require you to show your coding capability during interview. (No worries, you are still allowed to peek at Stack Overview during interview)

What do you do (job responsibilities)?
  • You will be put under a DevOps team working with other Software Engineers. (Please specify you are interested in full-stack, front-end or back-end during application/interview)
  • You are officially reporting to our DevOps Manager.
  • During projects, you also required to report to the project team lead (or if you lead the project then you will be reporting to the project sponsor directly)
  • You will need to develop high-quality, industrial standard code to realize the business requirement.
  • To achieve this, you need to maintain good communication with the project team, this is the only way to deliver good-designed software.
  • Don’t forget, a good engineer should also maintain good documentation and 5S practice for your work-related stuff.
What do we need?
  • Most important: Someone who love programming and wants to make a career from his/her passion.
  • Current BEng / BSc holder taking Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field. You may also apply if your technical skill is up to expectation even without relevant degrees.
  • Experience and good in software development using C# and ASP.Net environment.
  • Experience in Java will be considered.
  • For front-end inclined programmers: Javascript + CSS and also good UI design sense.
  • For back-end inclined programmers: Good in OOP and Database
  • Someone who loves to explore new things, take challenges, and have pride on own products.
  • Someone who can take pressure working on projects with deadlines.
  • Good logical thinking, communication skills and open-minded. (There are no one-man-show projects in Neptrix)

Sales Engineer

You will be representing our company to visit our customer site, to collect requirement, think of ideas, feedback to the development team, implement and train our customer to make their MES/ERP implementation a successful one.

We are looking for person who has the passion on implementing technologies to help our local manufacturers. This job would be perfect for you if you enjoy walking in factories, thinking of how to improve manufacturer’s efficiency with IT, and also actively work with people.

As this job has minimal supervision, we need you to be independent and able to demonstrate high professional integrity.

What do you do (job responsibilities)?
  • Directly report to Sales Manager. Also require participation in DevOps discussion if needed.
  • Establish close relationship with customer (on-site / online) and communicate to them on project related matters.
  • Understands customer business model and convey the needs to internal development operation team.
  • Answerable to customer to fix their issues.Don’t forget, a good engineer should also maintain good documentation and 5S practice for your work-related stuff.
What do we need?
  • Someone who love programming and wants to make a career from his/her passion.
  • Knowledge in IT / Web Portal Software in Manufacturing Business.
  • Prior ERP / MES experience will be a very strong point.
  • A person who is independent, responsible and high sense of ownership.
  • Good communication skill is a must.
  • Able to work under pressure (especially from customer) and deadline.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel frequently. Our customers are based in Penang and Kedah area.Someone who can take pressure working on projects with deadlines.Good logical thinking, communication skills and open-minded (there are no one-man-show projects in Neptrix).
